I bought 2 combos that included this rod then went back and bought another rod as I loved it so much. Paired it with a nice baitcaster and it is perfect for jigging up flounder, tog, and sea bass. My favorite go to rod!

A great rod for the money. Inshore rod for all around fishing. Have it matched with a Daiwa Seagate 20 and 30lb braid. Handles Stripers blues and bottom fishing and will use it for bonito and skipjacks/inshore tuna this fall. Very impressed with the quality for the price. Very similar to a Tsunami , probably made in same factory. Overall build quality is excellent and price can't read more be beat so you'll have no problem using and even abusing it.

Sea bass are typically found on the bottom or slightly suspended and these lures wouldn't get deep enough for you to get in the strike zone. For artificials for sea bass, I recommend going with vertical and bucktail jigs to get the larger fish from the sc
