Tsunami Evict Spinning Reels are the must have bottom fishing spinning reel. Many anglers are starting to bottom fish with spinning gear. When you arent into conventional reels but still want to battle big and powerful bottom dwellers the Evict spinning reels have you covered. These reels are const...ructed with a stainless steel main gear stainless steel pinion and a sealed stainless steel main shaft. The eight sealed stainless steel ball bearings on these reels allows for smooth action and increased corrosion resistance. These reels can be used like a winch when getting big fish off the bottom with their CF3 carbon fiber drag system. These spinning reels are great even if youre top water fishing. They cast well and are ideal for live bait fishing. Great Tog Jig Reel
I have the 3000 size on a tsunami slim wave 7 medium heavy rod spooled with 15lb power pro super slick v2. This is my dedicated tog jig set up. With the lower gear ratio, this reel has the power to pull tog right off the wreck. Would be a perfect a inshore reel too. The reel is not fully sealed so I would keep it to boat only and avoid surf fishing with it.
My Third Evict!!
This is my third Evict. I first purchased the 5000 series for my extra heavy 8 ft Tsunami Carbon Shield II and caught some good fish with it was smooth and the drag was fantastic. Then I purchased the 4000 series for my Tsunami Carbon Shield II 7'6" Medium Heavy and eventually got the 2000 series for my 7'6" medium action Carbon Shield II. I have no regrets many fish caught with… read more these reels Tutog, Stripe Bass,Porgy (Scup) and Bluefish...
5000
i have used this reel for everything from surf casting on a 10ft rod, to sending sp minnows on a 7ft, and using it to jig for cod on the boat.
i spool it with 50lb power pro super slick.it is very strong and smooth. and super light
it is slow on the retrieve but has a ton of torque so its a trade off
my only complaint is that the "dust cover" which is a plastic…

piece threaded into the metal body of the reel opposite the handle, will strip out. then the handle will fall out and the whole reel is rendered useless by this tiny little part. major flaw for an otherwise very nice reel. comparable to a clash 2, but because of this the penn wins out by a bit
this is an easy fix, so i would love to see an evict 2.0
Great reeling power but
Ordered the 5000 size. QC led something to be desired. Reel Box was damaged (not the shipping box). Missing standard support hardware that usually should come with it. The line holder on spool is not there. Tackle Direct CS made it right and provided a discount to reflect the issue.
Took it fishing and its a tank. Heavy but smooth and plenty of pull power. The power…

knob is nice feeling but will also freeze your fingers on a chilly night.
Lower seal issue fix
Everyone says under the bottom plastic cap there's no seal yes thats true but ....its called get permatex gasket seal and make your own thats what I did I've dunked this reel swam with this reel and had salt spray hit this reel after I made my own gasket/seal no issues what so ever
Good option
good option to start fishing
Perfect reel for heavy abuse
I outfitted my boat with evict 3000s for charter clients . We fish inshore channels and mangroves mainly , the stainless steel gears make quick work of horsing big fish out of there hideouts . Very underrated reel, smooth, great sounding drag clicker, and the power knob feels just right. Highly recommend if your in that price range of sub 200$?
Great feeling reel.
Feels super solid. Reel is very well made and has solid feeling performance
Good product
It's a good item, very light, it works very well when catching a fish, I recommend it.
DO NOT BUY
MY BUDDY BOUGHT A 3000 AND A 5000 EVICT. 2ND TRIP OUT THE 3000 TOTALLY LOCKED UP AND THE 5000S BAIL SOMEHOW ALMOST BROKE OFF WHILE HE WAS FIGHTING A FISH. SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA MONEY AND GET A SARAGOSA OR SLAMMER 2
Super great
super great reel for a super great price definitely reccomend
Nice reel for the money
Im surprised this reel is still a bit under the radar. I have the 5000 model and though it is a bit on the heavy side, quality is no doubt a mainstay. I use mine on a 11 foot TFO surf rod for plugging and bottom fishing and it is a beauty. Cranking power, sealed bearings, a carbon fiber drag, and good looks. What more can you ask for in a reel!
Awesome Reel
This reel performs!
Super high quality at a reasonable price!
Excellent reel for the price.
First Tsunami reel I have ever purchased, very impressed. Have been using it for bottom jigging. Very smooth and have a great drag system.
Awesome reel!
Ive used the evict 3000 with a 7 1 rod for surf fishing stripers and feels just as good as my Penns do! Do not have a complaint besides I should have got 2
The Shimano Teramar inshore in a 7 foot medium or medium heavy would pair well with the 200 size evict
Hello gusny, the 2000 weighs 10.8, 3000 is 11.5, 4000 12.2, 5000 is 17.7. All measurements are in oz's
This reel does have a dual retrieve
They are spool spacers
The reel features a Stainless steel sealed main shaft but is not fully sealed.
Unfortunately, Tsunami only lists the gear ratio of the Evict 5000, which is 5.6:1. In other reels in similar size and gear ratio, they get roughly 39 inches of line in per tur of the reel handle, so it's safe to assume the Evict 5000 has a similar amount
Yes the 4000 would be a great match on that rod
no
This reel has 15 lbs of max drag.
