I wrote a review on my 2000 series and I rated it 4 star but mentioned that eventually the screw that is on the end of the handle for the reel comes undone eventually.
Well same thing happened again on my 4000 series. These screws are very easy to lose. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TIGHTENING DOWN THAT SCREW BEFORE EVEN USING THIS REEL. Thats why Im giving it 3 star this time…

I bought this reel based on reviews, stating that it was a great value. One cast and the retrieve mechanism locked up on retrieve. I tried to do everything I could to fix on the water with wd 40 to no avail. When I got home I tried to remove the retaining nut. It's impossible to get off. Save your money this is a bad product. I will never buy Lews again.
