I bought this combo because I am phasing out my heavy baitcaster reels to spinning reels due to arthritis in both hands. This combo has made it easer when working heavy fish. I first thought the rod was under sized but then saw it work and realized the lifting power it has. No problems what so ever. Very pleased with combo.
Great kayak combo but reel is great for surf and other fishing applications too

I already know the quality of Silver Hook rod since this was not the first SH rood I have.
