High quality combo at a great price

I've used this on San Diego based Bluefin trips lately - Backed w 80# braid down to 60# mono, down to flouro leader at 50 or so. A few observations:
- it's a pretty heavy rig (esp the reel) for being at the reel w a flatfall, knife, or livebait / w sinker. For SD Bluefin, this has tremendous backbone, and no prob with Bluefins over 100# or well over
- Because it's so read more heavy, I actually prioritize my slightly lighter setups, which are still able to handle a 100 pound tuna and much lighter to carry at the rail
- this is my standard trolling rig and my backup to lighter rigs.
- The implied cost of rod is very good.. quality seems very good, though I prefer longer grip for the rail.
- Overall, this is my heavy fallback rig for San Diego Bluefins currently maxing at #150 or so. A well priced heavy combo for SoCal.

Was looking for a cost effective way to troll tuna when jiging and pluging weren't working. This setup fills the bill rod action is perfect and tld 30 surpurb.

Tld's are good strong reels

This is a good price for this setup. I;m usually an Avet guy, but this Isn't bad for the price at all, especially on a combo like this which has a ton of drag, and as far as i know comes spolled for you already.

Excellent setup

I have taken this rod and reel combo on 2 fishing trips so far and have nothing but praise it has handled everything thrown at it ! smooth drag great solid cranking power and the tackle direct rod is light weight and sensitive with all the back bone you could ask for while still fighting a fish whether it's a 10 lbs snapper 20 lb. cobia or a 150 lb shark it's a fantastic rig!
