Already used both TEK700's and they didn't disappoint. I was told to buy these for my striper setups and they are perfect.

Bought the 700s for “shallow” super copper lines 100,150, 200, 250. Way better than my 800s.

Been Using this Reel for 20 yrs

I am a veteran angler and fish alot for striped bass in Northern Calif rivers. After all these years, and having gone thru MANY line counter reels, this is my final go-to line counter reel. Trolling for stripers means a reel gets pretty beat up. This reel handles it and lasts for years.

Outstanding

This reel is my go to for rock cod fishing. My wife will use this reel for Yellowtail fishing. The line leveler allows here to focus on the fish and not the reel.

Great job again for Shimano.

I run these for kings on lake Ontario. They are fantastic and the drag runs perfect.

I have over a dozen Sealine reels. They have served me well but the Shimano is several steps up in smoothness and quality. I now have 10 of the Tekota reels and should be set.

Great Reel for the price

Good features and smooth operation for the price range.

A Solid, Well Built Reel

Paired with an 8ft Seeker Inshore rod with 20 lb mono leader + 50 lb braid it's my go to outfit for fishing for calicos in the kelp with bait off SoCal.. If I want I can also cast a 1/2 oz-3/4 oz jigheaded swim bait a mile it's that smooth running of a reel. If I also get a pickup on a 20 + yellowtail or schoolie Albacore it can handle that too.
