Everything you can ask for and expect from Shimano with this price. Very comfortably weighted and capable of most tasks.

Smooth action and affordable

I bought these reels to use with a couple of saltwater Ugly Sticks for pier fishing. They're strong, smooth and affordable. No complaints, other than the round, hard plastic handle knob isn't as nice as the rubber ones found on the more expensive Shimano reels.

Does SOC5000SW fishing line spool compare in diameter to the spool of Stradik FK 5000? What is the difference?

Rebecca Redington 4 years ago

The Socorro 5000 can hold a bit more line capacity than the Stradic FK 5000 but not by much about 20 yards or so.
