The reel is smooth and works great caught some fighty sheepshead with it , no problems, just make sure you match line diameter as manufacturers recommended.

Nice reel for the price

The reel is very smooth and light yet it can fight some whitening.

Bought this little reel for my godsons first fishing rod and I was amazed at how smooth it was for such a little reel.

Shimano makes some of the best stuff in the business and this little reel is one of them. Can’t beat the price to mess around with anything from snappers to large mouth bass.

This reel is just amazing , i have had it for over 3 years, and dumped multiple times underwater and it still works great. Definitely a win for the price tag.

Great inshore reel

This is a great inshore reel for up here in the Northeast for fluke, stripers, and blues. Looking forwards to getting out on the water with it.

Reel performed well with 15 lb power pro braid. Fought sheepshead all day long and never skipped a beat. Outstanding for its size.

Great value reel

Used it upstate NY for ice fishing. Smooth and reliable. Can't go wrong with Shimano reels, even the lower end ones!

Good little reel

Very small, lightweight, one of the smoothest reels I have. If there is any negative is that it doesn't have anti reverse.

Cheap but light and smooth and power

Excellent budget reel

I am very impressed with this reel at $30. Very smooth and light. It does have a very slight knock when the spool hits top/bottom but it's extremely subtle and not annoying in the slightest.

I would definitely buy this reel again.

This reel is mostly designed to be used in freshwater or light inshore applications. Depending on what size reel and what you are fishing for I would recommend any Light or Medium inshore rods. A Penn Battalion Inshore, or a Shimano Teramar Inshore Southe
