If you want a reel to hand down to your children this is it. Plain and simple.
I’ve had mine for around 3-4 years and I fish it heavily, as it’s the only bait caster I have. I’ve caught several hundred white bass, countless largemouth, multiple speckled trout, flounder, and even a handful of large unexpected bull reds. Pair this reel with some suffix braid and be ready to read more cast to the moon. Super smooth drag and holds a ton of 20lb braid.

Fantastic smooth reel which isn’t absurdly hard on the wallet or full of gimmicks. Love it.

The Curado line has been a class act from the start. This reel follows the old ones in reliability and toughness. I’ve wade fished saltwater with mine, beat and banged it in boats and on piers, throw it in the truck and take it anywhere. It’s hard to beat at the price, and can be used and abused for years. The casting is exceptional and there’s a reason so many people use read more them.

This is a outstanding reel. The quality and performance is for real. This was my first quality reel and you can tale the difference from a cheap made real to this quality reel. I am a Shimano guy from now on.

I love Shimano gear and this reel performs great. I own 4 of them have had no issues and will continue to buy. If they are out of price range consider the SLX as an alternative. I've found they offer very similar performance for a lot less $.

Actually used in salt lol
