Super smooth reel
Really nice versatile reel.
Very good reel
This is my favorite baitcaster for calicos
Nice reel
this a nice made reel however the price seemed a little high for what you get. I could be wrong do to the rate of inflation these days.
Surf Fishing
Bought two of these reels for Surf Fishing, they are amazing pieces of fishing gear, the finish on the reel is superb, they also cast very far and smooth with no bird nest, if it is set right for the weight you will be using.
Another quality product
Smooth, strong, and good looking. Love it for inshore fishing
Nice inshore reel
Wanted a small size conventional reel. bought the one with the single power knob and it was good for small to medium snappers on reefs
"The Reel"
I use this reel on special occasions only, kept it in a secure place in my how. That much I like this reel. I own the 201B (for left hands) I should buy another one just in case is discontinue. It is a great reel
Great swimbait reel
A great smooth, strong, precision- machined, Japanese swimbait reel. Throws big baits with ease. A true workhorse.
200gtb
This is easily the best reel I have ever owned. I have had one for around 15 years and never even had to get it serviced until year 12. It can definitely last a lifetime if properly taken care of. Just purchased another.
Strong reel
ITS SUPER STRONG
Great quality
This reel is very smooth, casts like a bullet and fits perfectly in my hand. I bought it to handle big crankbaits of 1.5 and 2 ounces. It does the job without effort and in style. I also use it for my smaller swimbaits and glidebaits. The drag is very smooth and the perfect match when fishing treble hooks.
Great Reel
Great reel...I use it for inshore snapper fishing under bridges and it's super lightweight and can handle good size fish. Love it.
Great Plug and Diver pullers!
Go to reel for anadromous species hunting in the NW United States. These have just the right amount of line capacity t get it done in a guided environment, and allow for a 5 minute line change when a newbie gets spooled.....
Very durable, low maintenance, and not a bank breaker; yet ready for everyday use.
Solid choice, solid reputation, good price for a tough player.…

Shimano has never let me down.
Perfection
I'm new to round reels and have loved this one since day one. It's weight and build quality are amazing and have shown how good they are time and time again. I've spooled it with 30lb braid and a 20lb fluorocarbon leader for saltwater fishing. It has been reeling buttery smooth and the brake on it is amazing. I did my research before buying and it hasn't let me down. If you're debating… read more getting this reel, don't. Buy it and see for yourself how awesome it is!
Calcutta is Great
this is my 6th Shimano Calcutta, Get design and function. brought in many fish (salt Water) years of use and no problems.
The Shimano Calcutta B CT200B Fishing Reel can approximately fit 260 yards for 20 lb braid and it would match up well with the Shimano TZCW70MHBLK Black Terez Waxwing Conventional Rod.
Power pro is the perfect line for this reel.
We would recommend to match the rod to the strength of line and lure weight that you are using. http://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-trevala-s-jigging-conventional-rods.html
Yes, these reels are designed for salt water use
Yes, this rod and reel would match very well together.
The 200GTB model features the following upgrades: - Precision aluminum Lo-Mass spool - 7 A-RB stainless steel ball bearings + 1 A-RB stainless steel roller bearing
Any of the Calcutta series reels would be a good match for any saltwater application.
You can use 30# braid on the Calcutta 400, but it is not a 30# class reel. It is a light saltwater reel. It would be great for Flounder, small to medium size Stripers, Bluefish, and Tog. The Lamiglas Tri Flex Inshore, Gloomis Pro-Blue, or St. Croix rods
That would certainly be a very nice combo but I like knowing the actual application the rod and reel will be used for before saying it will work. Feel free to call or email in and speak with a member of the customer service team to confirm that this rod a
