Needed some new flathead catfish rods. I dont like bait casters for catfishing and love the bait runners. Onsale the rod is pretty much free. Would make a nice striper setup aswell. Will be buying more

Just got this today on time delivery and everything arrived in working order. Put it all together and the reel feels great nice and smooth. The rod action feels good also can't wait to get to the beach and test this thing out. I am going to follow up with a review once I get a fish on the end of this rod

Pretty much getting the rod for free. Reel is butter smooth. Rod we shall see after the first run at the surf. But overall looks good. Reminds me of the okuma series of rod or the bass pro brand off shore surf rods.

This combo will give you the casting distance required to reach fish breaking way out there, but also has the awesome bait runner feature. This means you can fish with plugs and bait with no change in gear necessary.

Reel casts a mile and looks and feels more expensive than it is. Rod isn't very sensitive but it's cheap so thats expected, but it's real strong considering the price. Has no problem launching large plugs for striped bass. I noticed nobody else complained of this but the rubber grips on the rod reek like a tire factory. I wash my hands multiple times when I'm done but still reek…

Unfortunately, we do not have this combo in stock to measure. The max drag is 20#. It is a surf combo, so it is not really designed for boat use. It is too long.
