Ive used the Spinning version of this reel for a few years now and I can attest that it is still as smooth as the day I received it from TD. The only update I would make is that the disassembly to service is chaotic so it has not been attempted. I do have a raspy rotor bearing that went through a coastal 25% of rain day where it rained all day. I should be able to get to… read more that bearing pretty easy to service/replace. Since it has been used in salt water, it has held up very well. I am sure the casting version its going to give you the same performance.
