Quantum Smokes!

I purchased this for bass fishing in ponds and a few canals. 6 lb fluorocarbon, small split shot and a rubber worm. This reel has not disappointed! Took maybe a week to break it in on my 7ft2 shimano rod. Many monsters have met their match! Price is right, shipping was fast

The throttles have always worked good for me

Buddy of mine has 3 we use for catching bait and sometimes channel cats and they have always performed for us. Quantum seems to make good spinners in my opinion from the ones i've used, and are especially good when TD has a BOGO sale.

what's the difference between this and the inshore?

Alex T 3 years ago

Honestly not a whole lot. the only difference i see is the drags, it seems the Saltwater models are able to incorporate more drag force while having similar/identical components.
This is the only noticable difference on paper

Asked by J 6 years ago

Would these be a good match with mojo inshore 76HF? if so, which reel size? if not, any reel suggestions?

Ricky 6 years ago

I would recommend using the 30 or 40 size reel depending on the lb line you wanted to use.

Asked by Zachary 6 years ago

Are these reels as smooth as a Shimano reel?

Donald 6 years ago

The Quantum Smoke S3 Spinning Reels are smooth reels in their own right. Comparing it to a CI4 i would say the Shimano is a smother reel, not by much. You would be satisfied with either reel you purchase.
