When you compare this reel to others within the same class, this reel either has more line capacity, more drag power, bigger handle or all the above. Casts really smooth. I love the brake system on these reels and the clicking tension knob is a huge plus. The HD has set itself apart. Now the downside: I would not buy this reel for its msrp, look for it on sale. The dumb bar is pretty… read more flimsy and does not give a loud click. However, performance wise I have had zero issues with this reel and have landed dozens of large game. Paint chips off easily after heavy use.

what is the max drag and line retrieval rate for both gear ratios models.? <br>

Max drag is 25 for all models. The 200HPT has 90 IPT (in.) The200SPT is 28, and the 200PPT is 22.
