Big Game Combo (8000102H)

This is an awesome combo for targeting bigger fish from shore. The reel holds a ton of line so you don't have to worry about being spooled. The rod is loaded with power to bring in monsters. Have landed a 60 lb Eagle Ray quite easily really.

Works great for the price

I purchased the 6000 combo with 7ft MH rod and I loaded it with 50lb braid. I landed a couple of feisty California yellowtail with this bad boy no problem. One of them was 18lbs and put up a good fight. This setup is ready to catch many more! Planning to purchase a few more of these for others to use on the boat.

Great economical combo!

Bought this combo for my 8 year old son to replace his small beginning setup. Absolutely perfect for the price. The pursuit 3 reel performs the exact same as my fierce and battle reels, literally no difference except the colors and the lower price.

It's about $50 for just the reel or for $70 you get the rod with the combo, it's a no brainer. Get the rod just to have extra… read more even if not needed. The rod is slightly stiffer then other medium fast action rods I have, but we fish a lot of structure like docks and bridges and it works great.

Spooled w 20lb braid. My son has been smashing snappers, sheepsheads, and small snook.

Durable and Affortable

I think when it comes to Saltwater fishing. Penn should be one of the options if you are looking for a new combo. It has been on the market for a long time.

Not Durable At All

I purchased the combo in May and it was broken by June. I used it about ten times and the internal gears were completely destroyed. It is very inexpensive but the quality is terrible and I do not know if I will be using Penn again.
