My girl really wanted a pink fishing reel & rod combo and I told her not until she catches her first keeper, later that same night she caught a 16" drum and after fishing we came across this setup and for the price it is really nice, she loves it!

We had the bigger 5000 version and this smaller & lighter 3000 version is just as fantastic. Penn quality though and through just good stuff!

We had already purchased the 2500 size and did a review on that. Well now we have the 5000 model and once again, it's an excellent combo. I cannot speak for the newer Passion combos but these "last year's" models are perfect with the ladies around me here.

Hi. I wanted a pink rod & reel and this succeeded expectations. I have used it on the shore and while in the boat. The other day, I couldn't find "Pinky" only to learn that my husband had taken it out on the lake. He came home with 5 hefty trout.

Super pleased with this combo. Most times when you purchase a rod and reel combo, either the rod or reel is not great. Im happy to say that both are great in this case. The reel is smooth and casts with ease. The rod is well balanced and has a nice flex. My only regret is the length of the rod, its slightly too long compared to my last one so its taking a bit to get used to… read more it.

Why is this Penn Passion reel shipped loose and not in the original Penn box with instructions...etc?

Barry,<p>The Penn Passion combo comes from the vendor with the reel attached to the rod, no reel box. When we are shipping the combo out we must detach the reel from the rod and ship separately as the reel does not fit in the rod tube/box. If you purcha
