Seems to run smaller

For the most part does what it should which is protecting the rod. Outside of that does seem to run smaller.. very tight fit with the LRG on my Penn SSVI6500LL

Good for storage

They run small but are good for storage. Buy up a size. Not great for everyday use in transportation because you have to take the handle off the reel to use.

i keep all my reels in one large bag, these covers stop them from damaging each other and scratching up the finish.

Good quality, good fit

I keep my tackle stored in my garage where it gets a lot of dust from wood working. These covers are perfect to protect my reels and cut down on needed cleaning. They fit good albeit a little snug. The construction and stitching is first rate. Should last a lifetime. The Penn logo is an added touch to my gear.

It’s Ok

It does a nice job protecting my Penn Torque II 7500BLS. Has a side pouch for holding the handle and anything else. I wish the cover would protect the reel with the handle on.

Penn Spinning Reel Covers

I wanted to protect my Penn Fierce II spinning reels and had previously purchased the covers for the conventional reels and loved them. The spinning reel covers are not as eloquent in design as those for the conventional reels. To employ the covers the cranking handles need to be removed for the cover to fit.

I would prefer not having to remove the handles. Could… read more a design change be instituted so as not to require crank handle removal?

Cheap Insurance for Your Reels

I bought a dozen of these covers, both in spinning and casting models. I'm fussy about maintainng my rods and reels, and these help protect them in the back of my truck.
