Kudos to Penn for moving the bar forward. These reels have upgrades from the V series, which were already a standard in offshore fishing. The 50visws are lighter than my 50vsx reels, which were a narrow frame. Great reels

Is the 70 VIS intended to be mounted on a #2 butt? Or a #4 butt?

<span>Hi Kevin, A Penn INT70VIS 2 Speed International VI Trolling Reel can be mounted on either a #2 or #4 rod butt. However a #4 is a little more stout and thicker in diameter and would provide a better surface for the reel to be mounted on for your fish
