this is by far the best reel combo anyone could get. i have the 4000 reel spoiled with 20 lbs J braid paired with the extra fast rod which is the sweet spot. been killing those GT's and snappers. i would recommend to anyone

Good budget, go with 2500 for inshore shallow, 4k for pier/jetty, 6k or 8k for surf, 10k+ for boat but I would recommend at minimal spinfisher or baitrunner in 10k+

Have only used this combo once so far for catfish. Can't wait to take it down to the Texas coast! Overall very smooth reel and good penn quality for a combo
