I did not like these two components together. Separately these are both 5 star items for their price. This reel pairs great with the Daiwa Harrier M spinning rod. The Rod Pairs nice with a BG 5000 or even 6000

Bought this setup a few months ago and really like it when kayak fishing the CA central coast. Rod is good quality and reel is light with a powerful drag. The sale price was a big bonus.
