Love it! Great panfish reel. Very versatile

Love the 500 size. It’s great for panfish, perch and crappie. I use 2lb test and love it, it super light and with the live liner setup it’s very versatile

I loved this reel initially, as in the first hour. The drag then malfunctioned leaving me unable to retrieve. Eventually, after tightening al the way I was able to get my rig back from the surf.

I bought this reel because of automatic bait feeder.. I'm an spinner reel kinda person so when I found out okuma had a reel with basically a bait alarm built-in I knew I had to get it.. I am catfisherman .. since buying this reel my hook up has became 95 percent.. with this reel you set back wait soon as the rod bends and reel screams ( no more fear of loosing your fishing rod… read more with this reel with the bait feeder the reel becomes free spinning allowing the fish to take the bait and run with it) you just start reeeling or flip the switch engage the main drag now the fight is on... It's a smooth reel making the fights enjoyable yet no problem handling the fish....

Okuma bait feeders are by far the best,it has smooth operation on the run and hook set is quick .I just enjoy this reel you got to get one
