I purchased this lure to target speckled trout and other fish from the surf. The flash and action from this lure is a guaranteed strike. No issues from the XL model.

Great twitch bait for suspended speckled trout. This color pattern has been particularly effective in low/fading light in 3-4 feet of water worked slowly.

This lure works great inshore for specks and reds. I always have them on hand and have the most success with the black/chartreuse/gold lures.
Mirrodines work great in less than 3’ of water.

The MirrOdine XL suspending lure by MirrOlure was quite productive during this years fall Striper run. They were keyed in on small bait and twitching the MirrOdine through the wash was the ticket.
