I live here at the South Jersey Shore and fish the ocean, back bays, rivers and creeks. In each of those locations I utilize the same rod/reel combo (The Mach1). The almost 7ft rod length, ten eyelets, coupled with a super smooth spinning reel allows for long distance casts. With this combo I have landed an 18lb striped bass and yet it's my go-to rod for flounder and white perch… read more as well. You can probably tell that I really like this rig and recommend it for any multi-task-type fishermen who likes fishing in various situations without changing equipment.
