Best Spinning Reels I've Bought
Bought two of these reels and I have used them for cobia in SC, king salmon in AK, and grouper and snapper in FL. Worked flawless.
Great price for off shore reel
Amazing price by tackle direct. Good for off shore fishing. Highly recommend
Off shore 6500
My favorite reel by far. Drag is amazing and absolutely screems when the monsters take off. Use for shore fishing the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Michigan trolling for salmon. Super strong and has never lost its smoothness. Really enjoy it.
Love it
Great price and quality
Solid
Very good reel for the price. I utilize this for trolling offshore. Drag system seems to be holding up well, no issues thus far.
The 7500 model would suffice for yellowtail
60+ pounds of drag.

The Fin Nor 4500 would be the best option for the application your using the reel for. Other options besides this reel would be a Penn Slammer 5500 or Daiwa BG 4500.
I wish i could answer that question for you. We are just a retailer for Fin Nor and to my knowledge this reel is an exceptional reel with all the components to enjoy your saltwater fishing experience. Sorry i could not be of better assistance for you at t
The Shimano TZS69HBLK Terez Spinning Rod Black would be a good match to pair with the Fin Nor Offshore for grouper fishing.
Fin-Nor rates the 6500 to hold 400 yds of 50# braid. I estimate it to hold a little over 300 yards of 65# braid.
These reels do not seem to have a 100% instant anti-reverse. There is a small amount of play in the anti reverse after you stop retrieving.
According to Fin-Nor the max drag for each size is as follows: OFS4500 - 35 lbs. OFS5500 - 45 lbs. OFS6500 thru OFS9500 - 60 lbs.
The line capacity for the 9500 Offshore models are mono 600 yds. / 20 lb. braided line 470 yds. / 65 lb. Thank you for considering TackleDirect for your fishing needs and have a great day.
