Great all around reel

Jason

If you have used the older model of this reel you know how great of an all around reel they are. This is a nice update on the older reel for those that want a little smaller frame. It is still just as smooth and casts just as well as the original, but now palms a little better for those with smaller hands.

Switching All My Reels To The Daiwa Tatula SV

Randy

This is my third Daiwa Tatula SV reel that I have purchased. I have two of the high speed reels and one of the lower gear ratio reels. Love them all. They are light weight and can cast a mile or put your bait in a tight spot with minimal effort. I am switch out all of my Revo STX' S TOR THE Daiwa Tatula Sv's.

Fantastic finesse reel

This is a fantastic reel for finesse fishing. The SV spool and air brake system makes casting light baits a breeze, and also makes casting into strong winds no problem at all.
Mine has also stood up extremely well to use in saltwater as well. Recently did some maintenance on mine after heavy saltwater use and not a single sign of corrosion inside the reel.

another banger reel from daiwa. I've tried pretty hard to backlash and only got loose coils, smooth and compact reel nice for palming too

Leave Backlashes in the past!

Daiwa has done a great job with all of their SV TWS reels. I've used the Zillion series in the past but I thought I would try a step "below" (I shouldn't even describe it like that) and go with the Tatula series. This reel performs just like my zillion's and is packed into a much smaller form factor! If you have trouble with backlashes then this reel is for you!

What rod do you recommend pairing this reel with for "multipurpose" bank and kayak bass fishing?
