I needed a reel with some real power that I could take with me on my kayak trips in the Louisiana marsh. After some research I chose this Daiwa. The reel has been a beast against the big reds I run across. The reel cast smoothly and the drag operates perfectly on these big fish. I’m super pleased with the purchase and may even buy another. This is my first Daiwa baitcaster and read more so far it has lived up to and surpassed my expectations.

TackleDirect Customer Service 3 years ago

I would say the Lexa is a little better geared towards saltwater use however neither of them are sealed and consist of very similar construction materials, so either of them will perform very similarly in salt water conditions, upkeep and maintenance reco
