Unbeatable for the price
This is my 4th Diawa spinning reel - 2 Exceler and 2 Regals. Weight is a big issue for my aging frame, and the LT concept reels cannot be matched for weight and performance at this price level. Super smooth!
Great Quality for Cost
Very smooth reel for cost.
A reel Workhorse!
For the size and money this reel is a workhorse. The sensitivity and no fail bail give the confidence to set the hook every time. I now own 6 of these reels. Excellent!
Quality Reel
The Daiwa Exceler 1000 LT is my first ultra light reel. I have it paired with a Procyon spinning rod and it makes make the perfect combo. I was debating between the Exceler and the Shimano Sahara and chose the Exceler after messing around with both in the store. This reel allows me to cast far and reel fish in smoothly. No complaints at all.
Awesome reel
Bought this reel at a local fishing supply store for $55 was a steal. I have the 300lt d 5:3:1 with a 7ft Fenwick light and works great. Caught over 30 akule in one day and many Jack's. The reel is awesome for the price. Loved it so much I bought the 2500lt for my 56 Fenwick ultralight, amazing combination! I take this everywhere when I go to other islands because I live in Hawaii… read more so it's compact. Overall u love it. I'm looking to get the certate reel with all the good reviews I'm hearing.
Very good for money
Old saying is u get what u pay for. But in this case u get so much more. I build fishing rods for good reels. Usually reels
cost around 200$ when I build rods. But l'm going to build rod for this reel. I bought this reel to get me by on a non planned fishing trip. This reel is a gem. I live in ak, 3 trips, 200 plus salmon, reel feels like it just came out of box.
