Just got back from fishing in Mexico using this Avet reel for the 1st time on a Med Heavy Star Rod. Easily reeled in a 35 lb wahoo and 20 lb yellowfin tuna. Did take some trial and error to dial in the right drag set up for strike and full.

I did not think I would like the G2 so much, but it's honestly my go to reel, I through jigs with this reel.
I have 100lb spectra on this.
It's one of my favorite reels.

If you are going for deep water fluke this reel will be okay. Generally you want to stay between 30-50lb braid when deep water fluke fishing.
