Looks great....

Haven't fished with it yet but will do that on very first opportunity as soon as the seasons opens up in my area. Looks superb.... finish is absolutely flawless and weight, as expected is very less for a reel of this size. Looks like a great real for live bait fishing and jigging. Looks like a good long time investment.
As always, response of Tackle Direct is perhaps the best read more that I have seen on any online store and I have done a lot of online tackle purchase from stores in USA, Canada, Japan and Spain. I received the reel in Dubai on 5th day after I made the payment. Tackle Direct actually shipped the reel within five hours of my making the payment. That's quick.....

Awesome reel. Great for jigging. Light and strong. You won't get tired jigging all day.

Love the reel, perfect in every way except that my thumb is wider than the spool. That would be my problem as I have large hands. I own several Accurate reels and very happy with all of them. You cant go wrong. These cast well and are outstanding for Yellow Tails in the Sea of Cortez. Good Luck! Happy Fishing!

It's just pure beauty and works just as well.
Oh, and the dude who says it's maxed out on 50lb braid? Well... whatever.

I purchased this for offshore tuna jigging. I put 500yds of 50lbs depth hunter and paired to a jigging world slow pitch ghost hunter rod. This reel is an absoulte savage. Narrow spool width makes it easy to jig width. This reel I can also use for deep water cod/haddock fishing too. Many uses for this reel.

Strong lightweight reel

Used it to catch yellowtail on the yoyo in cedros. Even caught a black seabass on a dropper loop. Super strong reel. The fish were about 20lbs but I felt like they didn't even have a chance. Probably the perfect reel for big tuna and homeguard yellowtail. It's super lightweight, feels like you could fish it all day.

I love that Accurate is made 30 miles from my home. Beautiful craftsmanship in every reel I've seen. I was so happy to save up and get my first Accurate Valiant 600N. I matched it with a calstar rod and got my first Bluefin Tuna last weekend with it. Great reel, super smooth. easy to adj when hooked up, 2 speed was great to get the fish on the boat! Can't wait to get another Accurate read more Reel I've got my eye on...

Did my research on precision lightweight leverdrags, these are not cheap, and Accurate Valiant reels are the best out there. Avet is a close second, but the twin drag system put them ahead of the pack. I got the BV-2 600, and what a reel. Smooth retrieve, effortless freespool, silky smooth drag. The 2-speed lets me take up line fast, but with a big Grouper or huge Red Snapper on, read more hit the shift button and beauty turns into a beast of a winch to drag them away from the bottom rocks or wreck! Sheer power; loaded with 300 yds of 65 lb Power Pro, and 200 yds of 80 lb Invisabraid on top of that, and finally 50 yds of 80 lb Momoi mono topshot. A killer bottom fishing machine, that will do double duty as a primo Tarpon reel.
I see a BV2-300 in my future very soon!

Own 6, not convinced

have fished 6 - bvl-600sw billfish editions for 6 months here in south florida. primarily kite & bump trolling live bait. The line capacity, weight & retrieval of these reels is unmatched by far. The biggest short coming is the drag, it’s not as smooth as it should be. I’d happily add 4-6 ounces to overall weight to gain a more consistent and smoother drag. In addition, read more within my first three fishing trips 2 of the 6 reels clickers went out... so much for the marketed 24 hour clicker test. I think too much was focused on weight and therefore internal components were compromised. Fix the drag & clicker....at least for the bxl600 series.

Good reel for 20-25lb test, but I felt like this reel was completely maxed out with 50lb braid and a 30lb fluorocarbon top-shot. Caught a few CA yellowtail with it, but it only preformed OK for the task. This was disappointing given the specs.

What is the difference between 600bv2 n and 600 bv2 nn? What is the additional n?

Austin Kearney 3 years ago

The double N just indicates that it is a narrow spool reel with less line capacity. The only real difference between the two models is that the NN model holds up to 300 yards of 65lb. braid, as opposed to 400 yards.
