I like it for trout,salmon and steelhead. Use size 30 and use 10 pound braid. Works great on third season.

I have used this reel twice this spring and and it seems to be a good quality reel. All the Garcia Revo line of reels I own have been good products. I have family that will have nothing but them.

Bought this reel about a month ago... Ive fished it 4 times. On my last/final trip, I was casting a 3/8oz crankbait for a few hours. I started to notice a clicking in the reel while retrieving. Noise continued to get worse. Gears in the handle are now almost totally seized. I attempted to open up the body and lubricate. Did not help. I tried to return the reel. Im told I cant.… read more I have a $100 paper weight... I have owned several abu products over the years. Most have been solid. I am supremely disappointed In this purchase, and recommend you stay clear if you do any serious bass fishing. If anyone wants to contact me or help regarding this piece of garbage purchase, I would certainly appreciate it. I would at least like some justification. Thank you.

I use this reel as a backup to my center pin for salmon. The reel and drag are super smooth and the design is very sleek in my opinion.
