Great hooks!

Dan

These are the only hooks I use to swap out my trebles. They are sharp, strong, and at a great price. I’ve been using them for about a year and a half and haven’t had one rust out on me.

Replaces treble hooks

I used it to replace the treble hooks on my lures. I hate trebles!

Strong Hook!

These are super strong hooks. I've replaced just about all of my trebles with VMC inline hooks. I especially like the 5/0 4x strength for replacing the trebles on large topwater and subsurface plugs.

Great treble replacements

These are all I buy for replacing treble hooks. They are sharp and have the best price point. Haven’t had one rust yet.

I love these hooks for replacing my stock treble hooks on lures.

Great hook and extremely easy to install to swap out treble hook

Great hooks and make catch and release fishing so much easier. Getting rid of all my treble hooks and swapping out for these inline hooks. Saves so much time and headaches of tangling up in net as well as prevents injury to both angler and fish. Spend less time handling-releasing fish and more time catching fish.

Jig upgrades

I use these VMC hooks on my flat fall jigs instead of the braided line on the factory hooks. I fish on the west coast for the bluefin tuna which are very big and tear up weak gear.

I've replaced all my trebles

like i say in the headline- i've switched out all my trebles to these- they're stronger- less sticking myself- and better for the fish

I need the inline hooks in size 1 - any chance you guys will ever have these available?

Brendan - TackleDirect Customer Service 2 years ago

Hi Ferdinand, Unfortunately we only carry the VMC Inline Single Hooks in a size 1/0 as the smallest size currently at this time. However, we do carry BKK Inline hooks in a size #1. https://www.tackledirect.com/bkk-a-es-8960-lone-diablo-inl

I'm wanting to switch out the trebles on a few lures that are about 3 to 4 inches long. Can you give me an idea of what size (or sizes) to match with these? Thank you.

Paul Olah 3 years ago

For both 3 inch baits you'll want a 3/0 and a a 4 inch you'll want a 4/0 although a 3/0 will work fine for a 4 inch bait. General rule of thumb is for every inch of bait go up one size starting from 1/0.

Would the 5/0 work good for an size 14 x-rap?

Rebecca 5 years ago

Yes, the 5/0 hook pairs well with SXR14.

I am looking for recommendations on two questions. 1) I am replacing the stock trebles on Manns Bait Stretch 30+ lures, the trebles are ~1.25" across two points. I am leaning towards the VMC 5/0 inline hook, is this reasonable? 2) What size SPRO or V

Tyler 6 years ago

I would recommend going with either the 6/0-7/0 inline hook. The split rings I would go with spro size 6 150lb

Is this a 4X or 6X strength? Using on plugs for Peacock Bass.

Tyler 6 years ago

Unfortunately VMC does not list if they are 4x or 6x

Asked by CharlieStriper 9 years ago

What is the corresponding size inline single hook to replace triple hooks on a plug? For example would I use a 2/0 inline hook to replace the 2/0 SP minnow hook, and a 3/0 inline to replace a 3/0 tail hook on a popper? (I am asking because on the Owner we

David 9 years ago

It is good practice to keep the replacement hooks 2-3 sizes bigger than the treble hooks that they are replacing. If you are using Owner hooks, I would recommend going with the manufacturers suggested hook sizes.

Asked by Ernie 9 years ago

What salt water lures fishing for stripers has anyone used and had luck using inline hooks, someone mentioned to me they have used rubber bands to hold the hooks tight to a needle fish. Anyone? I'm wondering how they will hold up on swimmers.

Paul 9 years ago

Most of the guys here in the shop have not had a chance to fish them yet for stripers as we got them in late in the season. We have been rigging them on Super Strike needle fish, Mag Darters by Yo-Zuri and SP Minnows on the trailer end only and leaving th
