Been using blueheavier dacron to fish bigger bluefin tuna on outter banks. The dacron has been producing bluefin over 150lbs, Works great for casting poppers and knife jigs.

The line is splice-able but, thirty and fifty pound is very thin and you are going to need a different needle that will allow you to thread it effectively. Unfortunately, we do not sell individual needles.
