Incredible sensitivity.

I got the Medium-heavy action rod. I think it is a little lighter than that. The rod is light and I swear I can feel a fish fart on the thing. Great Sea Bass or Fluke rod. I originally just got it to mate with with a Peen Peerless 9 reel that I restored. I did not know I would like it that much!

Best rod brand out there for the price

They are literally manufactured around the corner from where i live ( less than 5 miles) in Mahwah NJ and are truly fantastic. I would recommend this company to anyone, plain and simple. This is my current pole from bottom fishing to Mahi Mahi and even smaller sharks. I even caught a 300+lb shark on my tsunami reel rated for 40 lb and my tsunami pole rated for 80-100 pound line read more in a chum slick 10 ft from the boat and wrenched him in. My father went out and bought a $300 custom rod years back for it's lightness and sensitivity, but when i handed him my rod to hold so i could get a sandwich, he he wouldn't give it back and went out and bought one of these. The thing is so sensitive you can literally feel the types of ocean floor terrain you are on, and distinguish bites from that, and also it is light as a feather.

Great Value Rod

I purchased the rod last year and liked it so much I purchased another. Used it for trolling and live lining. The rod is a little heavy but is built well and performs well, too. 5 stars for the price.

Couldn't beat the price, needed a rod to match with my penn squall 50. This rod was a good match. Going to be great for live bait fishing or trolling big deep divers. Rods a little heavy the way they build the handle into the rod.

Alex T 3 years ago

Asked by Joe 3 years ago

would you recommend this for trolling tandems for stripers?

Alex T 3 years ago

The 6'6 Heavy model of this rod would certainly do the job trolling heavy mojos for Stripers

Asked by Alex 4 years ago

Would this rod be good for catching fluke in the bay?

Brian 4 years ago

These would be a little too heavy for fluking in the bay. We would recommend checking out the Slim Wave or Trophy Slow Pitch Series from Tsunami.

Unfortunately, the action for these rods are not specified through Tsunami. After handling the rods ourselves here at TackleDirect we consider this rod a fast action. The rod can work for Blackfish, but there are better options suited for that type of fis
