Strong rod, great casting distance
The rod is a great budget surf rod for inshore bull red fishing. It has a great action and seems to be holding up well.
Tsunami rod
I like the rod with heavy action... no problem for crabbing at the beach or any big fish like shark, stingray and halibut
Big surprise
I bought it because I needed a 10ft rod, I knew I wouldn't use it often so I was also looking for an economical option and I found this tsunami.
the first time you use it OH BIG SURPRISE catch a tarpon weighing approximately 100 lbs.
Best budget spinning rod
One of the best budget spinning rods. used for striped bass fishing and surf fishing. 100 % recommended
Best Budget Rod for Fighting Sharks and Rays
Very good rod for the price. I was able to easily cast a 5oz weight with 2/3 of a mackerel on the hook. I've caught multiple bat rays with over 36 inch wingspan and the rod handles them perfectly.
Rod
Great price for the rod quality....when shipping please protect the tip so they don't bend and get damaged
Great rod for a cheap price
If you are on a budget this rod is awesome I used for surf fishing while travelling its a bit heavy but strong back bone does good on big fish
Sapphire XT Surf 802MH
Extremely happy with this rod so far but haven't put it to the test yet.
Overall rod looks great and seems solid
I purchased two of these and paired the with a penn 6000 spinning reel with 40lb nomad blue braid. I will not be using this as a surf rod, we will be using these rods as casting rids for offshore to target schools of tuna and Mahi along with cobia or really…

any fish we can find that requires a long cast.
Once summer roles around and we test the rods I will update the review but as of now its exactly what I was looking for.
Heavy but good
Heavy but good
Good entry level surf rod
At the price of this rod, it wouldn't be fair to set high expectations. The rod is very stiff and maybe is most suitable for chunking or that type of fishing. Not really that great for working artificials in the surf. But...for someone who doesn't want to make a big investment in a surf rod, but wants to have one on hand, this probably fits the bill.
Light and priced right!
My brother picked up one of these for fishing in the surf. It is very light and I can tell you that if it is as tough as my tsunami trophy or my five star, it should be a good one.
Great surf rod for the Gulf
I use this rod for fishing in the Gulf of Mexico when I am on vacation. Despite the low price tag, the 11ft Heavy was plenty sensitive enough to feel the take of this small Whiting that I caught while fishing at night. However, I am confident that this thing could easily handle a small shark of large stingray (which is why I got it in the first place). All in all, great rod and… read more fantastic service.
So cal fishing
New to surf casting so four stars due to nothing to compare it too. Tried once and enjoyed it for sure.
Great company nice rod for the money
Tackle direct was great!
The rod was a bit bulky and heavy but for the price I expected that. It's well built and has worked well.

Hi Kareem, The Tsunami Sapphire XT Surf Spinning Rods can be used for various saltwater surf, pier, or jetty fishing applications. I would also recommend the Tsunami Trophy II Surf Rod Series. https://www.tackledirect.com/tsunami-trophy-ii-surf-rods.html.
