I have used this mono offshore so some time now and have not had any issues with break offs. It handles abrasion from toothy fish and structure well while giving the stretch you expect from mono. I have fished this line next to guys fishing fluoro and have not noticed a difference.

Recently switched my leaders over to mono, cant beat the price difference and havent noticed any difference so far. Triple Fish leaders tie easily and have held up to the abuse so far.

We use fluorocarbon leaders and have used this on the boat as a backup. But for the money and abrasion resistance mono is a much better deal. We also fish in water that isn't very clear so I don't think the difference in visibility of the leader justifies to cost of fluorocarbon. I am going to buy more of this when I use up our current spool.
