It's strength and resistance to chafing make it excellent for bottom fishing.

I recently switched back to mono leader material instead of Flurocarbon. I sometimes put too much thought and $$ trying to use the optimal gear out there. I figured if my paintless plugs chewed up by bluefish still catch stripers why not go back to the dependable leader material I used for over 30 years and take my better half out for a nice dinner with what I saved.
