First saw these rods on a YouTube channel. Thought they were nice, but the one-piece was a little longer than I needed. Then saw the two-piece, in conjunction with another YouTube channel I respect, and took a shot. Glad I did. Rod feels good in the hand, and is strong enough to handle what I need, so far.

can i use 30lb mono, or mono in general on these? i would like a 2 piece for striper fishing around Massachusetts, any recommendations well be greeted kindly

TBass,<p>You can use mono with this rod as well as braid. The mono to use, depending on the spinning reel being used, would be 8lb to 15lb. This would be fine for schoolie to medium sized Striped Bass. Please let us know if there is anything else we can
