I rig these with 2-3 ft of leader and use them to add weight to any lure when trolling to help get down to the fish. Allowed me to get deeper with less line out.

I'm not much for lead core line trolling. To me it's to much like dragging in a log. Like to have the rod in my hand at all times to feel the hit set the hook and fight the fish up from the bottom.
