All around great rod

Raiyan

I have this rod paired with a Diawa Saltist 40 and use it for bottom fishing. This rod has great sensitivity, a soft tip, but has great backbone. If you are looking at getting this rod, get it because its a great rod.

Rod is of good quality and craftsmanship and has quickly become my favorite rod when tarpon fishing. We have caught tons of fish with this rod paired with a 7000 penn battle and 65# braid.

Paired this rod with the Daiwa Exceler 6500 loaded with 80 braid. Very well made rod that casts good and handles heavy fish with ease!!

Star SB 1225C70 is just okay

This rod wasn't really the rod I wanted but it's okay. a good 20lb. rod. The second rod I ordered is just the most perfect rod I think I have ever ordered. I'm very happy with it. It is the SB 1730C70 and is just the right jigging rod. I saw it at the recent Salt Water tackle expo in NJ.

Star Stellar Boat Rods Questions and Answers

Ask a Question

Asked by Mark 3 years ago

Would the 20-50 casting 7’ pair well with a torium 20hg?

Austin Kearney 3 years ago

I would go with the 16 Torium.

Asked by Matthew 3 years ago

Would the 17-30 casting rod be able to hold a 8-10 oz sinker or would I have to move up to the 20-50 for that?

Austin Kearney 3 years ago

I would go with the 20-50 H model for sinkers that size.

Asked by Mark 3 years ago

Would the 7 heavy 20-50 be able to hold a sinker up to 8 or 10 oz?

Austin Kearney 3 years ago

Yes, the H power rod would be good for bottom fishing with larger weights.

Asked by Matthew 3 years ago

I’ve  been looking at the star stellar 20-50 lb heavy 7’ and the tsunami jigging 6’ XH for grouper fishing with up to 10 oz sinker. Which of these would be better fir this or would you recommend something else. (Within $150

Austin Kearney 3 years ago

Tsunami Trophy Jigging XH would be the better choice in this scenario.

I would go with the Tsunami.

Asked by Matthew 3 years ago

Would the 20-50 7’ casting rod be good for grouper or would a heavier class be more suitable?

Austin Kearney 3 years ago

Yes, the H power would be good for grouper.

Asked by Dakota 7 years ago

Which rod and reel combo would be best with the daiwa bg 6500 or 8000 and the star stellar 8' heavy or 7' med-hvy?

Donald 7 years ago

The Daiwa BG 6500 or 8000 would pair well with the Stellar 8' H power rod.
