Awesome budget friendly rod
Have these paired with some tiagra 30s for great trolling setups
Awesome bang for the buck
For $100 it cant be beat. Very strong and versatile rod
Great rod
This was my first star rods purchase and will not be my last. It is a very strong and durable rod. Not very expensive for such a great performance.
Great trolling rods
Second pair of these rods Ive bought. Star makes high quality rods at a fair price. Very pleased with the purchase and doing business with Tackle Direct.
Nice rod
Very nice well made rod
Great balance and control
Just had a chance to use the new rod last weekend . First trip and caught a sailfish and king on the 6 ft EX2050 C6 version rated for 20-50# which I matched to TLD 25 with 40 lb test. Great balance and feel. Also trolled a 10" large lip rebel lure ( 18 feet depth) for grouper /snapper. Nice rod tip libration when lure is performing correctly yet stiff enough that you avoid too… read more much flex. I have switched to no rollers in my trolling rod guides (less issues long term and less weight) and this rod is the ticket. I am getting a second one this weekend if I can get it in low $100 range.
Quality without the cost
Use this rod for bottom fishing on partyboat strong backbone aluminum reel seat e--glass blank looks good no problem pulling groupers of the wrecks have a truth lg reel on one rod shimano talica 16 2 speed on other very happy
Amazing rod!
This rod is built to take anything you can throw at it. Very strong and very good action!
Great Rod, Great Price
I used to stick with Ugly Stick (price point). After a friend turned me on to Star Rods, I now have 10 in my boat. 6 with AVET, and 4 with Shimano Bait Runners. Can tackle anything. You will not find a better rod for this pricing.
Great value
Great rod for the price. Compares to rods 2X the price.
Solid
Well made offshore rod with a solid reel seat, quality components and the fit and finish you come to expect from Star!!

The https://www.tackledirect.com/tackledirect-platinum-hook-conventional-standup-rods.html would be a good match for you <br />
<span>Hi Steven, The Star EX50100RS Aerial Stand-up Rod is built on a Heavy Action Blank that is stiffer and is rated for a Monofilament line weight of 50-100lb line. The Star EX3080RS Aerial Stand-up Rod is built on a Medium-Heavy action blank and is a l
<span>Hi AJ, According to Star Rods, The EX3080RS Aerial Stand-up Rod has a roller first guide and a roller tip with standard ring guides in the middle. A #4 planer won't be an issue, #8 planer would be the maximum size to use on it. Please let us know i
This would be a good setup for smaller class bluefin and sharks. The <a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/star-rods-ex3080rs-aerial-stand-up-rod.html" style="background-color:rgb(236,237,239);color:rgb(35,82,124);font-family:Arial;">EX3080RS</a> would al
I would recommend the 30-80 MH model stand up for for this fishing application, but you certainly wont go wrong with either if you desire that little extra backbone and stiffness the 50-100 rod would give you!
Clearance on these is minimal, maybe a tiny spro power swivel.
EX1530C-6 would be the best model with the Star Aerial Standup line of rods. We would suggest taking a look at the EXKF for kings and dolphin, would match perfectly with the TLD 20:<p><br /></p><p><a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/star-rods-exkf-aeria
More information would help us recommend what rod is best to pair with the Trinidad 16. Where you are fishing, what you are fishing for, and what you are fishing with, are important factors when choosing a rod. Give us a call at 1-888-354-7335 or Chat us
The 5'9'' MH or the 5'9'' H Star rod would pair well with the Penn Senator 114. Thank you for considering TackleDirect for your fishing needs.
I would recommend the 6 ft medium or the 6 ft medium heavy to handle a bit more weight and can take a more abuse.
For the TLD 20 I recommend the STA-0230, for the two spinning reels you would have to use the same rod because there is only one spinning model in this line, it would be STA-0226. If your looking for something lighter check out the para-flex boat rod to g
