Star Rods
Very good rods for the price point.
Well built at a good price point
Purchased this rod to use with a Shimano spinning reel. It is perfect length, medium -light action and has an excellent feel in my hands. Glad I purchased this rod, very happy with the action. I will definitely buy again.
Great value and quality
I recently bought the 7 foot med-heavy rod and paired it with a 3000 daiwa bg. it has been a very nice and well balanced combo that didn't brake the bank I will diffidently buy another star rod.
Love the action and weight
Plenty of backbone, but has a soft tip. Good quality.
Good Rod value
quality rod at a good value price. Light weight, good action. I use it for snook & redfish
Great rod especially for the price
The action of the rod is excellent, it looks great,it's very light and the price can't be beat. I much prefer it over name brand rods I have that cost more than twice as much. What else could you want, except maybe 2 piece rather than 1. I love Star rods.
Great flats rod
This rod is well made and perfectly balanced. I mostly wade fish grass flats and i don't get tired after carrying this around for hours on end. Love the medium to light action too. Will never buy anything but a Star Rod.
This would be comparable to most light inshore rods.
Hello Steve,
The Star Aerial rods are one piece.

Joseph,
The Daiwa BG 5000 MQ will pair nicely with the Star Aerial spinning rod EX1220S70 for inshore / nearshore fishing for reds, snook, trout, and cobia. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

The 3500 would work with that rod, but a better match would be the 4000.
Yes absolutely!
The weight of the Star Rod Aerial Inshore Spinning Rod (EX1220S70) is 8.8 oz. Thank you for considering TackleDirect for your fishing needs.
