Incorrect Action Rating

As always, Tackle Direct did an exemplary job shipping in an expeditious fashion. Five stars in that respect.

This rod is NOT a ML or an XF (I ordered the 7'3 version). It's definitely a light action, that's to the good (for me), actually as I was going to run it with 6lb mono or copolymer.

Unfortunately it's a moderate action. I just don't have a use for read more it. I suppose it would make an acceptable carp rod, but I only fish for them incidentally, not as a usual target. If that's you, the quality of this rod is there (of course it is, it's a St. Croix).

It's not on Tackle Direct as they listed the specs in accordance with what is advertised by St. Croix. I will be returning this rod, but I'm going to attempt to get an exchange from the manufacturer as the incorrect specs are on THEM, not TD. If St. Croix does not take care of me, I'll seek recourse through Tackle Direct, but I'd prefer to not cost them money for an error not of their making.

There is no manufacturer standard for action "speed" & weight. There ought to be.
