A little bit whippy
For my liking this rod (70MM) is a little bit too whippy. But for trout and panfish fishing with tiny cranks and spoons it is a good rod.
Quality is very high, like all St. Croix rods. Best rods on earth! For sure.
New bottom rod
Purchased this for inshore bottom fishing. Nice quality and balance.
St Croix made it again
I am a St croix fan and the tidemaster series is a good buy. Very sensitive tips and enough back bone for the inshore fishes. And the warranty from St Croix is well known. Really recommend tidemaster series to everyone! Entry level St Croix rod and made in USA as well!
Good price
Good price
Tidemaster Inshore casting rod
Great casting rod, I bought two, one for my son and me, and the rods worked well. Good quality for the price.
Great Rod for Inshore Fishing
I purchased two of the TIC76MF rods. They have the backbone required for solid hook set in big slot reds and a soft enough tip to not pull the hook from a speckled trouts paper mouth. Stop thinking and by it before they are gone!
Feather light!!!!!!!
Big fan of St. Croix rods. Tide master is light and love the full cork. Cant stand split grip or eva foam. The warranty is great too.cant go wrong with St. Croix rods
Great Rods
This is my 6th tidemaster and they are awesome rods. Paired a 7'6"H with an accurate tern300 for inshore bottom fishing. Feels like its going to be a perfect match for flounder, seabass, tog, and other bottom dwellers.
GO TO RODS
These are my go to rods for every application both fresh and saltwater, absolute love them, they serve a purpose for any kind of fishing you're doing.
Nice feel
Looking forward to trying this rod out
Absolutely Outstanding Rod
This St Croix tidemaster is one of the finest and best feeling inshore rods I have used in a while the craftsmanship is unsurpassed, although it is mainly used for red fish it is not being used to it's full potential.
Best Inshore rod!
7ft casting rod works well from my kayak for stripers. Paired it with a Abu C4 5601. Great combo. Rod sensitivity is awesome and handle length is perfect.
Best rods
Amazing and probably the best rods Ive used. Ill probably never buy anything other than the tidemaster.
Never disappointed
The Tidemaster is my favorite rod. The TIC66MHF didn't let me down. First day fished......stripers didn't have a chance. Perfect for my use from a kayak tossing plastics on jig heads. Quality is exceptional and rod was flawless in performance and cosmetically.
Go to Kayak Rod
I use the 3/4-2 rated rod as my go to kayak rod, i have it in both spinning and casting. I am primarily targeting bottom fish but on the occasion blues or stripers get in the mix this has the power to handle them as well. I have this paired with an abu 6500.
I would go with a 4000-5500 size spinner for the 8'. These sizes should provide a setup that balances well overall.
Both of these reels would pair wonderfully with the Tidemaster.
I would recommend the Tranx for most inshore or shallow water applications and the Torium for deeper water more offshore geared bottom fishing trips

Yes, this rod is a perfect application for that. Even a the Medium power rod would work great and give you more of a fight.
A Lexa 400 would certainly be sufficient for that application. I'd say the TIC80HF would work well for casting swimbaits that weight within the rods lure weight rating of 3/4 to 3 oz. If the swimbaits or poppers you'll be using exceed 3 oz. I'd suggest
