Sweet rod

I’m n?w to kayak fishing and when I saw this “Yak” spinning rod it seemed like a good idea so I purchased it. After fishing with it several times I feel that the rod itself could be used in any situation. It does very well from the seated position in a kayak but this rod would work well for any fisherman standing in a boat, wading or on the bank. I’m am very IMO with the quality read more of the rod. This is my first St. Croix rod and I have always heard this company made excellent fishing rods, now I know just how true that is. The blank is beautiful and the guides and handle are very high quality. I own several G Loomis casting and spinning rods , I my opinion the St. Croix are equal in quality and dollar for dollar a better purchase.

really like this rod for the winn grips. its comfortable to hold all day, I purchased the 7ft medium pairing with a 2500 stradic ci4. the color looks wonky but man this is my go to setup for light tackle inshore

I bought this Rod because I it was Very lite and had a great feel to it as soon as I picked it up. I paired it up with the Penn Conflict 2 2500 which is also pretty lite and spooled up with 40 lb. power pro it only weighs 12.5 oz. As soon I fished with it I fell in love. It is very sensitive, you can feel every little touch your bait makes. I bought the 7' Medium and will be buying read more more and some Medium Heavy also. I have always used Ugly Sticks and loved them, but I will be swapping out soon. The shorter handle and the Winn grips are very Comfortable and a pleasure to cast all day. first day out caught a nice little stripper and a bunch of big catfish on a crank bait and it handled them well.

It was like Christmas day taking this rod out of the shipping tube. Oh, my what a beautiful rod.
I can not wait for my new reel to show up and slap it on. I can not wait to try it out. If it works as good as it looks, I'm buying another one,

Great rod

Built for kayak fishermen. Winn grips stay tacky ahem wet. Wonderful sensitivity and backbone to land the big ones.
