Nice rod
Love the grips. Great rod for stripers from the boat.
Enjoying the medium action
I have several fast action St. Croix rods. This is my fist medium action and I have had very good results with it. No problems with hook ups. Very nice rod.
Good rod in one piece design
Huge fan of 1pc rods by St.Croix feel every bite with these rods. Highly recommend this quality rod for the price.
Not a huge fan.
Rod came packaged securely, but the guides were very much out of alignment (looking down the blank some guides were leaning more to the left or right) other then that its a not a bad rod for the price. Might have just got a lemon.
Great value
The order was shipped fast the rod is high quality and a great value
Great Saltwater Rod!
Have been using this rod for running the beach for Jacks / Cobia / Tarpon. Love the longer butt handle, great for casting heavier live baits.
Nice rods
Recently purchased 2 of these in store, both 66 MH Spinning. They seem like a nice upgrade from the Premier series rods I currently own. They are light, sensitive tip and seem well built with better guides. I will put their durability to the test this summer on my boat. I own about 12 other St Croix Rods all made in USA which is one of the main reasons I stick with them so I was… read more sad to see when I got home that these rods are not made in USA.
Not disappointed
Another St. Croix that I am perfectly happy with. I highly recommend this rod.
Excellent Fit and Finish
Can't wait to use it, excellent craftsmanship
Can,t wait to use it!
Just the rod I've been looking for!
The JIS76MHF: A workhorse
I've used the JIS76MHF for my last three sessions outside the reefs. I've paired it with a Daiwa BQ MQ 3000. It's a great lightweight set up that I've actually ended up using for deep saltwater dropshop in 30 to 100 yards depths. It has performed remarkably well when tackling hard fighting 10+ lbs red grouper or spangled emperor.
My wife loves it!!
I got this nice looking rod for my wife as a Xmas present.
She was shocked at first sight and rushed out to use it that day!!
She caught two red fish and 3 three mingo snapper.
I will buy another one next summer.
She liked the fast action tip and how sensative the rod was to bites.
Good utility inshore rod for kayakers
The medium heavy rod is a solid all-round performer - I use it to cast and troll lures from my saltwater kayak and it can still be called upon to do some jigging. I also have the medium light, and St. Croix replaced it under warranty after an unexpected and unfortunate fight with a ray, so I feel doubly confident about the brand.
Best bang for buck
Very durable and sensitive. Own a few, cant beat them.
I bought 1 then 2 more
I love these poles, I now have 3. heavy enough for slightly bigger fish and light enough for medium fish.
The Daiwa BG 4000 would be suitable to pair with the 7'6'' MH spinning rod. There shouldn't be any balancing issues.
Yes, the XH model would be the best option for that kind of fishing.
The 4500 Spinfisher will work well with this rod, as will the Vanford. It all comes down to personal preference.
Hello, yes this rod can be used in freshwater.
I would recommend looking at the 7' or 7'6 MH model rods should hold up to any of those fish
This rod would definitely hold up to these fish, i would recommend the 7'6 MHF rated rod or HF rated rod depending on what you are typically using to target these fish
We would recommend the 7' Medium rated for 3/8-3/4oz lures. Allows you to do a little of everything and pairs well with a 3000 class inshore reel. If you trying to match up to a 4000 or 5000, check out the 7" Medium Heavy.
You should consider the 7, 7'6 Medium-Heavy models. If you are fishing for bigger snook and reds the Heavy models would be best but a 4000 size reel would balance better with the heavy.
Hello, Depends on what you will be fishing for but I would recommend the medium or medium heavy
https://www.tackledirect.com/st-croix-mis70mf-mojo-inshore-spinning-rod.html

https://www.tackledirect.com/st-croix-mis70mhf-mojo-inshore-spinning
yes
A star plasma rod 7ft MH would be a good choice.
I would generally recommend pairing this rod model with a 4000 or 5000 size reel,
The Saltist 4500 would be a perfect match, Penns are usually slightly larger so a 4000 size would pair well.

I would highly recommend also looking at the Shimano Str
The St Croix MIS70MF Mojo Inshore Spinning Rod would compliment the Stradic 3000 very nicely, especially fishing for calicos and sand bass.
The 8-17 lb rod would be the better fit and provide the action you need fishing for calicos and sand bass.
The St Croix MSS80MMF Mojo Surf Spinning Rod would actually be the better choice for the application your using the rod for.
That would be a well balanced set up for blues and stripers.
I'd suggest the 7' for boat fishing or bank fishing. You may want to go with the 7'6" if you are fishing from shore and want to increase your casting distance. As far as choosing between the MH or H I would consider how heavy the lures and/or weight tha
The handle on MIS70MF is handle number 1 in the main picture on the webpage. The handle measures a total of 17" from the butt end of the rod to the top of the cork foregrip. The butt section measures approximately 12" from the end to the bottom of the r
The butt section measures 15'' from where the reel will sit in the reel seat to the bottom end of the rod.
The heaviest Daiwa BG would be the 3000 that would balance well with the MIS70HF.
I would recommend the BG4000 to have better balance with the combo.
This rod in a 7 foot, medium heavy to heavy would be a great option for inshore flounder and pitching lures/chunks to mahi.
Hi Nick, The Mojo Inshore 7'11 will pair well with the Van Staal VR75 and will be great for your application. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with!
The 7'11 MH will be a great match with the VR75
The 7 foot medium heavy would work well for inshore tog
Hello jayden, for the 7'6 heavy the stradic 5000 would pair the best.
Yes, that should pair well.
I think a size 4000 would be a better fit for these rods
A 7 to 7'6 mh to m rod would work well with the 2000 or the 2500 series Daiwa BG
The 7'6 medium heavy would balance out better with the 4000 conflict 2
The 3500 would pair well with that mis70mf
The 7 foot medium heavy or 7 foot heavy would be a very versatile rod for both boat and kayak.
It would be a good pairing, if your fishing deeper water with heavier jigs and need to stay on the bottom then the heavy version of this rod is a good choice.
Hi, Surf rods tend to be long lengths anywhere from 8ft to 12ft or more and can have variable actions and heavy lure weight ratings that allow the angler to cast far distances and reach areas where smaller rods are unable to cast. Inshore rods tend
There are a few options that would pair well. Either the 7ft MH or the 7ft 6 M would pair nicely with the spinfisher 3500. Also will be a great set up for speckled trout and most inshore species.
Hi James, The St. Croix Mojo inshore in the 7ft 6in medium heavy rating will work well for your application. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with!
Hi Mike, We recommend either going with the Mojo Inshore 7'9 X Heavy variant of this rod or a heavier rod such as the Shimano Terez Spinning Rod ( https:

Hi Steve, I would recommend the JIS79XHMF St. Croix Mojo Inshore Spinning Rod model. This is a stiff rod that you can fish heavy bait and also has alot of backbone needed for tarpon and sharks. I would pair this with a Shimano 2020 Saragosa SW A Spi
For snook and tarponI would go with the 76 MH and match it up with a 4000 or 5000 inshore reel. Ifyou want to go a bit lighter the 7M is rated for lures 3/8-3/4oz and with
