Awesome rod for bass.
Super sensitive, fast tip but plenty of backbone further down the spine. Have three of these now in various lengths and action.
Good quality
I took a while to decide on a jerkbait rod. Im happy with this rod for the price. Balanced very well and has a very good action for jerkbaits. Only used it a couple time so far this spring but for as many times as Ive thrown in so far Ive had about a 50% ratio of catching a fish per casts. Ive used shallow suspending jerbaits with it so far Im very pleased with the rod.… read more The warranty is nice too knowing if it fails or something it will be replaced for a whole 5 years. Its not the St. Croix lifetime but for the price and quality of the rod I think its definitely a good buy. Only con I may see with it or what May make it better maybe would be if the handle were a little shorter. Its nice to have the leverage when casting but when using it to twitch the lure a little shorter may be better. Im not sure how it compares to other jerkbait rods. This is the first technique specific rod Ive purchased. Its definitely a nice looking and nice feeling rod with good sensitivity and action.
MUST HAVE
This by far is my favorite rod I own. I picked up the 6'10" MLXF for finesse fishing and I cant praise it enough. I have it paired with a Diawa Procyon AL 2500 and loaded with 8lb floro. Perfect setup. Heck i'm getting excited just typing about it.
Great rod
The rod is light, sensitive, and doesnt feel fragile
Great rod for the cost
love st.croix they make great rods
Inshore whipping stick
I use these rods for reds and trout, with a Chronarch G its an awesome combination. Lightweight but plenty of power, perfect for wading.
Powerful
when I picked up this rod it felt so light and balanced in my hand the detail on it is sick and the power is next level
Solid rod but seemingly fragile construction
Purchased this rod in late December 2020. Overall rod appears to be of nice construction, very sensitive and check all of the boxes for things I needed. However the end guide chipped/broke within a month of owning it and limited use and was cutting my fluorocarbon line. Disappointed how quickly it failed.
Just plain AWESOME!!
I got the 71 medium moderate cranking rod. Lightweight and comfortable in the hand. It has a perfect parabolic bend to keep the fish pinned. Got it paired with a Shimano SLX XT 6:3. Awesome set up in my opinion.
Great for saltwater too
Ive always love St croix because they stand behind the rods. The mojo series is awesome. Very sensitive and great for inshore jigging.
Great bang for the buck rod!
I have the 7'1 M fast. This rod is just amazing on the new scIII blanks. It blows away the older models on the scII blanks. I use this rod mostly for ned rigs, and lighter plastics. It performs better than any other rod I have for this task. Also capable of fishing a variety of different baits with ease. Super light, tons of backbone if you get into some mondos and feels great in… read more your hand for long comfortable days on the water. If you're considering rods in the $100-$150 price range, this is the one to go with hands down. I own multiple other brands and my st.croix beats all of them in this dollar range.
Love my mh for redfish
Awesome rod for the price, cant beat the quality of st.croix for the price. Pairs well with a shimani chronarch ci4+.
Love it
Great rod, if you love topwater fishing like I do this is a great rod love the power and action.
Landon, these rods are built with high-modulus SCIII graphite blanks besides the glass models. They will not break easily unless misused.
Both lines are high quality and use similar blanks. You can't go wrong with either.
8 line guides and a stripper guide.
That is correct. The Mojos are made with high-modulus SCIII graphite.
