Great rod with an even better warranty
great rod, and even better with St croix warranty
Love this rod!
After much research looking for a rod that is best for my small hands, I purchased the St. Croix VIS76HF and I'm so happy I did. The weight balance of the rod plus my Shimano Stella FJ STLC5000XGFJ Spinning Reel is perfect. This is my go-to setup for bay fishing. Note, I wear size 6 gloves, and gripping and holding the rod has given me no hand fatigue.
Love this stick
I love love love the Avid Inshores!
Beautiful look, great Action and a very good sensitivity.
I use this rod for saltwater fishing and fishing for pike with downsized muskiebaits, like the Baby Shallow Raider, Slopmaster Spinnerbait or 7 Suick.
Best rods on Earth!
St croix rod
Love it!! I feel everything! Very light!!
Favorite Spinning Rod
Own a few of these now in different lengths and powers and they all perform admirably. My favorite value for a high end rod with top quality components and an unbeatable warranty. I even use this rod for my bass finesse setup! Highly recommended
Best rod
I ordered 4 of them and they r the best, gave 2 of them to my cousins and they r love it so much. Its cast 2 oz. like a bullet flying. Best rod
Avid Inshore
Great product at a great price with fast delivery. St Croix rods are light, strong, and extremely sensitive. I use them exclusively for all my fishing.
Super light
Super light rod and paired perfect with a stradic fl 2500.
Beautiful rod
Rod was just as advertised. Ive seen this rod in action on YouTube and cant wait to get on the water
Love this thing
Best rods Ive ever set eyes on holds up to fish and extremely reliable
The avid is fuego
went on a trip to florida, purchased this rod as a quick rod for the 7 day trip. it performs so well it shocked me that some of my other higher end rods are comparable.
wont say any names though lol
just get the avid, the rod is worth more than it actually cost
Awesome
I have been using the rod in the Northeast for schoolie bass and squid, but can't wait to try it on larger bass and bonito. It has a very sensitive tip and casting is phenomenal
Amazing rod
The 7' 6" or 8' are great paired with a 4k or 5k reel. Light rod, light reel, you can cast forever and may never come home. Strong rod with great guides.
Great rod
Fished this rod on a inshore charter. Loved it. Caught specs and stripers on it. Love the light action to the rod. It allows you to feel everything.
Lightweight and tough
The 76 MH is a versatile inshore rod that allows me to toss a variety of plugs and soft plastics in almost any situation. I have it paired with a 5000 size Daiwa reel.
7'6" medium heavy will fit great on the Avet SXJ<p><a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/st-croix-vic76mhf-avid-inshore-casting-rod-7-ft-6-in.html">https://www.tackledirect.com/st-croix-vic76mhf-avid-inshore-casting-rod-7-ft-6-in.html</a><br /></p>
These rods will be shipped from St. Croix towards the end of September.
The Penn Clash 5000 would balance well with the 8 ft Avid inshore rods.
I would suggest any of the 7' to 7'6" models. Which power to select depends on the size of the lures/bait you will be casting. Try and select the rod with a lure weight that falls most within the range of what lures and or sinkers you will be casting wi
The 8' MH or H power St Croix Avid Inshore rod would be best suited for the application it would be used for.
A 5000 size reel would balance well with the St. Croix VIS70HF Avid Inshore Spinning Rod - 7 ft.
Both the Avid Inshore and the Terez are fantastic rods, however they are difficult to compare as the are generally seen being used for different applications. The Avid Inshore is an inshore rod, generally used for casting lighter jigs and plugs for speci
This would be a standout inshore combo for stripers and cobia. As for offshore you might be over matched for that style of fishing.
You would get great action with the St. Croix VIS76MHF Avid Inshore Spinning Rod - 7 ft. 6 in for the application your using the rod for.
First 3 guides on each rod are double, the rest of the guides are single.
Designed and handcrafted in Park Falls, U.S.A.
That would be a perfect match. The reel will balance well on the 6'6 or even the 7'. Great light tackle set up.
It will work. That is the set up I use for False Albies. Just pay attention to your line capacity.
Depending on what you are looking to do with the set up and budget, a 2500 or 3000 size spinning reel would be an awesome pairing for that rod.
I would recommend either the medium heavy or the heavy model
Yes, these rods have have double footed guides
The Avet SXJ will make a great pair to the St. Croix Avid inshore VIC70HF
To me it sounds like this rod and reel set up would be extreme overkill for these fish, but this set up would be very versatile if you were to use it for other fishing applications as well.<p><br /></p><p>For blackfish you usually want a lighter more sens
These are all 1 piece rods. The 7'6" MH would pair perfectly with a BG4000.
Charlie,<p>That is a great rod, I would pair it with the Penn Slammer 4500 or 4500HS, That's depending on what retrieve speed you want based on what your targeting. I would only go to the 5500 if your targeting larger offshore species and need the line
Mike, yes those two will absolutely pair up well and will make for a well balanced combo.
<span>Hi Delong, The 76HF or scr-1577 would be fine for Jetty Blackfish. Just keep in mind that the casting weight of that rod is up to 2oz so anything heavier on that rod you want to use caution when making your casts or setting the hook. Let us know if
Hello Jimmy, <p>The stradic fl 3000 would pair well with the vis70mm</p>
<span>Hi Ryan, I would recommend the St. Croix VIS80MHF Avid Inshore Spinning Rod. </span><a>https://www.tackledirect.com/st-croix-vis80mhf-avid-inshore-spinning-rod-8-ft.html</a><span> This has the correct lure weight rating of 1/2-2oz and combined with
The Siegler sg narrow would fit 40lb braid with no problem and would also fit the 8 foot tidemaster
That would make a great pairing
Both will be suitable. However you will get more versatility with a 7'6 MH because of better casting and heavier lures for beaches and jetties.
The first three guides(closer to the grip) are double footed.
Both sizes will certainly get the job done however the 3000 and M power will give you more backbone and control when you get slightly bigger striped bass.
