2 piece Shimano TVC66MH2 Trevala Jigging Casting Rod
it is a nice rod.
High Quality...Low Price
Amazing rod for the money. Have the 6'6MH paired with an accurate Boss Fury 500 for dropping heavy jigs down deep. Caught my biggest AJ on this rod and it handled it no problem. Highly recommend this rod if you're just getting into to jigging or if you want a high quality rod for a lower cost.
Awesome rod
This is one of the best rods ive ever had, super strong but very light at the same time, i love it
Good service
Good quality and package and fast delivery with carefully following up.
Trevala TVC66MH
I use the Trevala TVC66MH with a Shimano Tekota 500 for bottom fishing. Able to fish comfortably for Black sea bass, flounder and bluefish using 8oz to hold bottom.
Travala MH
I purchased this rod for a trip out on the Constitution for tuna. Unfortunately, the rod I purchased was a little too light to bring on the trip. This rod (even the heavy) is very light in the hand and would be good for anything up to 50lbs. I just would not feel comfortable battling anything in the 80+ range, there's just not enough backbone to pry them bruisers up from the depths.
Great Rod for jigging!
I used this rod with daiwa lexa in the SF Bay for rock fishing great combo!
Trevala light 7ft rod
Great rod. Strong and light. Love this rod for hyannis mass porgys and seabass fishing. very sensitive to feel the bites and strong enough to pull in whatever bites. Again great rod
Fantastic rod
I have 2 of these rods paired with a Penn baitcaster and an Avet. They have a great feel for the bite and backbone to bring up large fish.!
Nice Jigging Rod
This is a nice rod at a decent price. Will use for jigging as well as a pitch bait rod as Im still on a budget and dont have dedicated outfits for everything.
Trevela-best rod for the money
I own 6 of these. They are incredible rods. We have never had a failure on tuna up to 100lbs.
Great Rod
Great rod
Brandon, Hello the medium heavy would work but i would suggest going with the heavy model.
The two piece model (TVC66M2) does not come with a rod tube. It is a 70/30 split and the longest section measures 55 in. This may be a little too long for an airline carry-on. I'd suggest contacting the airline in which you are flying to inquire about
I'd recommend a 6'6" to 7' model for your applications. Models TVC66M or TVC66MH would be the best fit.
The length of the butt section is 27 inches and the length of the tip end is 44 inches.
After checking we can assure that the Talica 20 will fit into the reel seat of the TCV58XXH.
The Blue Water and the Trevala are two of your best options in their price range. Either one will pair well with an Avet SX.
The Trevala Jigging Rods would pair up well with the Calcutta 700 and would be a great choice for jigging applications for rock fish.
The 5'8'' XXH 2 pc with a Tac 12 will pair nicely together trolling and bottom fishing. It will also be easy to travel with. Thank you for considering TackleDirect for your fishing needs.
The TVC5'8H with a Penn Fathom 40N would be a good combo fishing for amberjacks in the gulf.
Anything is possible Bill, but I hope it holds!
If you would prefer a baitcasting reel I would recommend the Shimano Calcutta B 400. If a star drag conventional reel would be more to your liking I would recommend the Shimano Tekota 300. Both reels would match up will with the TVC-66MH.
The rod would be a good match paired with a Shimano TLD 20 for the application your looking to use the combo for.
Jeffery, The 6'6 heavy or 6'0 extra heavy would be an excellent rod for bottom fishing with 6 oz. Also, on the extra heavy you could go up to 10 oz.
Steven, you would need to go with a heavy or Xtra heavy due to the fact they are the only models in the Trevala Line that come equiped with a gimbal.
Hello Kevin. On the two 6'6" versions of this rod the split is 70/30 and on the 6'0" and 5"8 model the split is 60/40. If you have any more questions please feel free to contact us!
The longest piece measures 54".
No. This is not a good chunking rod. We suggest going with a Shimano Tallus (SHM-2433).
That would be a great combo!
Yes. It it would be a great match for that reel and that application.
The 6'6" Medium would be best for the Torium 16 and the better choice for wreck fishing for bluefish and flounder. The 6'6" has a little more backbone to be able to handle fishing heavier buck tails and deeper water.
Unfortunately the tvc60h does not have have a gimbal. We do not sell gimbals separately.
The F series uses higher end components and has a different grip. The line should not cut into the grip when you are fighting a fish.
The 6'6" MH should be a good fit. <p><br /></p><p>https://www.tackledirect.com/shimanotvc66mh.html<br /></p><p><br /></p>
The 6 foot heavy especially since you'll be using it for trolling.
The 7 foot light would work best for inshore fluke jigging
Either the 6'6" heavy or the 6'6" medium heavy
<span>Hi Bryan, The 6'6 Medium Shimano Trevala with the Torium 16 will make an excellent blackfish setup. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with!</span>
<span>Hi Richard, The Speedmaster II SPM12II will pair nicely on the Shimano Trevala TVC-66H. Please let us know if you need any further assistance or any further questions! Tight Lines</span>
<a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/shimanotvc66m.html">Shimano TVC66M Trevala Jigging Casting Rod</a> is a good fit for that reel and for those species.
This setup is a little underpowered for a 150# shark. An experienced angler may be able to make it work but it could be difficult.
The 7 ft model might be a little light action for trolling/bottom fishing. I would go with a 6'6" medium or medium heavy for those applications
I would go with the 6'6" M power model.<p><br /></p><p>https://www.tackledirect.com/shimanotvc66m.html<br /></p><p><br /></p>
The 6'6" MH would work well. <p><br /></p><p>https://www.tackledirect.com/shimanotvc66mh.html<br /></p><p><br /></p>
The Talica 16 would pair great with the tvc60h
These rods are actually discontinued, they would make a good middle of the road kind of rod if you are looking to both troll and jig with,<p>I would look into the Shimano Terez rods for both applications or the new Talavera Boat roads would also do the jo
The 6'6" MH will be a great fit for both sizes. It will be loads of fun with the stripers and smaller yellowfins.
We would recommend checking out a Torium 16 or 20 depending on your application:<p><br /></p><p><a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-torium-star-drag-reels.html">https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-torium-star-drag-reels.html</a><br /></p>
I would go for more of a traditional trolling rod not a jigging rod. Something like the <a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/star-rods-ex50100rs-aerial-stand-up-rod.html" style="background-color:rgb(236,237,239);color:rgb(35,82,124);font-family:Arial;">
Depending on what technique you're going to be fishing, the Lamiglas Tri-flex offers a wide range of weights in a really nice package. Jigging world also offers 3 different models, the Black Demon, Shogun, and Black widow that are incredibly nice and ba
Yes, that would be perfect for that style of fishing.
I would recommend using the Shimano TVC58XXH Trevala Jigging Casting Rod.
I would pair the Daiwa STTLD50-2SPD with the Trevala 6'6'' MH for the application your using the combo for.
I feel like the Medium-Heavy would most likely be the best fit, but the best way to determine which rod is right for you is to select the model where the jig weight rating falls within the range that you will be using most.
