Great Rod
Overall the rod is lightweight with an awesome blank. I use the rod extensively for trolling. Shimano needs to sell the carbon fiber straight butt as a standalone item.
Hi Eric, Unfortunately the Shimano Terez Stand-Up Curve Butt Rods sell with the bent butt attached. I would recommend the Shimano Terez BW Uni-Butt Roller Stripper Conventional Rods. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-terez-bw-uni-butt-r
Lupo,

Yes, these will be compatible with a #2 Winthrop Terminator Adjust-butt.

Both rods are constructed from the same TC4 blank and yes, the Tallus only has a roller in the tip. The Terez also has a custom built grip and reel seat, and an Aftco wind on. Â
The butt end of the Shimano rod is removable.
The rod pictured is White. XH is recommended with 100# braided line.
