Redesigned for 2019 the new Shimano Terez Spinning Rods are stronger lighter and better suited to dominate the blue water than ever before. Featuring Shimanos Spiral-X and Hi-Power X construction the new Terez is built on one of the worlds most advanced blanks and is fitted with all custom component...s for a rod that is truly built to perfection. Spiral X construction consists of multiple layers comprised of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions resulting in enhanced torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. This construction results in an extremely responsive rod that allows for instant power transmission and greatly enhances fish fighting capabilities. Spiral X blanks are 250% more structurally rigid and 180% less prone to twisting than standard blank construction. These advanced blanks are equipped custom Shimano Aluminum Reel Seats and wrapped with all new Fuji BKW Alconite frame guides. The 2019 Terez series covers a wide spectrum of offshore angling techniques by consisting of 12 casting models 9 spinning and 2 rail rods. Whether you’re fishing the Northeast or Southeast Gulf Coast or West Coast or traveling the world in search of exotic trophies theres a Terez rod to fit any application.

Shimano TZS2M Terez Spinning Rod
Awesome spinning rods as are all Shimano products!
Terez TZS72M
Use this pole off the Oregon coast. Brought in 6 foot Blue Sharks, 42 inch lingcod and had my way with them. Still waiting for a good Halibut. Love this rod. Would recommend it and will buy more.
Fantastic rod
This rod is great, honestly the first really 'good' rod I've purchased and man what a difference it makes. The rod is thin with a lot of feel and action but incredibly tough. You can tell it has a lot of power in it if you need to haul in a sizeable fish. I've been using it for striped bass and it has enough sensitivity that you can really feel them bumping the lure and when they… read more hit you can just crank down and the rod happily takes it.
Perfect Rod
paired this rod with a saragosa 6K and love everything about it. Awesome casting optiion for 2-3oz lures. Light enough to fish all day with more then enough power for everything i have thrown at it. would buy again.
Shimano Terez TZS72XH
Exactly what i was looking for
Terez- simply awesome rod
I own 8 Terez rods and absolutely love them.
Just buy it
Best rod ive ever used . A bit pricey but hey you get what you pay for. But excellent balance of power and sensitivity . Game changer for sure .
Best rods I own.
I have several of these rods and they are great. I use the ML for king mackerel in the gulf. Soft action but tons of backbone.
Best All Around Rods on Market Today!!!!!
Terez rods were great and got better in 2019 when the added Power X and Spiral X making the rods have less/no twist and adding to the power/parabolic lift of the rod making it have greater backbone/power. Bottom line rod has a very sensitive tip while also having the power you want. Bottom line you can catch almost anything that swims and you CANT break this rod.

have 13 Terez rods from ML to XH and I highly recommend these rods. I have them paired with Saragosa and Twin Power reels .... a great combination.
Quality Spinning Rod
Paired a TZS78XHBLK with a Shimano Saragosa. The rod has amazing strength to pull jacks and red snappers right up, yet sensitive enough to feel mangos tapping on your bait. You wont be disappointed with this rod.
Great
Loved the old Terez and love the new Terez. Would like to see a hook keeper as stated by another reviewer.
Hello Chris, It will work but it is not ideal. I would recommend looking into a popping rod.<p><br /></p>
<span>Hi Tom, The Shimano GRPCS77M Grappler Type C Popping Rod is designed for long distance casting poppers and stickbaits rather than vertical jigging. This is a fast action, 2 piece rod that features a soft tip for launching lures great distances, and
<span>Hi John, I would recommend the shimano Stradic 5000FL. Model: STC5000XGFL; </span><a>https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-stc5000xgfl-stradic-fl-spinning-reel.html.</a><span> This reel will give you the most line capacity and will be very versatile
Chris,<p>The Shimano Terez rod TZS69XH you are looking will work if looking for more of an all around - popping, jigging, trolling, and bottom fishing. But if you are looking for a rod that will be used solely for popping for big BFT, the the Shimano Gr
Ron,<p>If you are mostly targeting 50-70lb yft/bft, I would recommend the TZS69H. That would be fine for fish even over 100lbs. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.  </p>
The MH 7'2" rod would pair well with the Thunnus8000 fishing for those species.
This would be a nice setup for Cobia. I would recommend using atleast 30 lb braid+Â
All of the Shimano Terez Spinning Rods models come with an aluminum reel seat.
I would go wit the 7'2" H or XH rod. The length of the rod allows it to be a nice medium, where you could jig and pop effectively, depending on how the fish are feeding. For a reel, I would go with a Stella SW C 14K or 18K.<p><br /></p><p>https://www.tack
I would recommend either the 6'9H or 7'2H model Terez rod for your desired fishing application.<p>Blackfin makes some high quality rods as well</p>
We would recommend going with the Terez for your listed applications. The two Medium models would pair up really well with the 5000.
All Shimano rods come with a 1 year limited warranty, more info can be found in link below:<p><br /></p><p><a href="http://fish.shimano.com/content/fish/northamerica/us/en/homepage/INFO/ROD_SERVICES/GENERAL_WARRANTY.html">http://fish.shimano.com/content/f
There's a few good options that would pair well. To start, the St. Croix PS70MHF Premier Spinning Rod and <br />the GSB81MS Lamiglas 8' Medium GSB Surf Series rod would be two great choices if you are fishing from the shore. We also have boat rods like t
<span>Hi Chad, Based on your fishing application I would recommend a Shimano TMSEX70MHB Teramar Northeast Spinning Rod. </span><a>https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tmsex70mhb-teramar-northeast-spinning-rod.html</a><span> This would pair well with a Shi
James,<p><br /></p><p>Yes, a Makaira 10000 spinning reel will pair well with the TZS69H Terez Spinning Rod for most applications.</p>

The Shimano Teramar Inshore Southeast rods would be good. Penn Battalion Inshore rods, St Croix Mojo Inshore or the G-Loomis NRX rods.Â
The Extra Heavy has a bit more backbone over the Heavy. The heavy will bend further down the blank than the Extra Heavy. Both have a extra grip.Â
Yes, that rod will work well with this reel.
The power of the rod does not necessarily matter when pairing with a specific reel. Medium or Medium-Heavy depends on your preference. The Medium 7'2 would be the best option when fishing striper and tautog. Unfortunately, Shimano does not have lure ratin
I would recommend using the Shimano TZS72MBLK Terez Spinning Rod Black.(<a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tzs72mblk-terez-spinning-rod-black.html">https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tzs72mblk-terez-spinning-rod-black.html</a>)
I would recommend the Shimano TZS78XHBLK Terez Spinning Rod Black.
That would be a perfect pair for the type of fishing you are trying to do. Call 888-354-7335 or place an order online.
The Terez is definitely a great option. Model number TZS72MBLK would pair very well with the reel you have and would suit those applications perfectly. I'd also look into the Lamiglas Paco Kayak Series Saltwater Rods.
If casting distance is of primary concern I'd suggest the 7'8" models (TZS78HBLK and TZS78XHBLK). These models would also be the best fit for a reel in the size range that you mentioned.
<span>Hi Manuel, Based on your fishing application I would recommend a Shimano TZS69H Terez Spinning Rod. However since this is currently out of stock I would also recommend a Shimano TLXS69XH Tallus PX Spinning Rod. </span><a>https://www.tackledirect.com
<span>Hi Jason, A Shimano STLSW14000XGC Stella SW C Spinning Reel would pair well with a Shimano Terez rod. Depending on your fishing application I would recommend the Shimano TZS78HBLK Terez Spinning Rod Black. </span><a href="https://www.tackledirect.co
From Shimano it comes with a limited one year warranty.
You can order right here at Tackledirect.com or give us a call at 1-609-788-3819
From the reel seat down to the butt end the length is 12 inches.
Yes, all the terez models will be too heavy for the Stella 3000 FE. It will work however the rod and reel ratio will not be balanced. try a Grappler series they are much lighter.Â
I probably wouldn't use a Stradic for these rods, A Saragossa 6000-10000 would be a better choice.Â
The medium and medium heavy version of this rod would be considered more of a inshore rod.Â
Both rods will work for your application. The heavy will just muscle them in quicker while the medium will be more of a fight. The 6000 saragosa would balance out better with the medium power rod.Â
The 7"2 would go nicely with your saragosa 10k and the 6ft 9 would go better with your thunnus 8k.
<table width="1184" class="order-specs-tb" style="background-color:rgb(236,237,239);border-bottom-color:rgb(227,227,227);border-bottom-style:solid;border-bottom-width:1px;border-collapse:collapse;border-left-color:rgb(227,227,227);border-left-style:solid;
Yes, that will make a great popping setup that will cast very well.Â
That would make a great balanced offshore setupÂ
The 6'9 heavy would pair up well with the Thunnus.Â
the 20-50 line weight medium rods would pair well.Â
The 7'2 mh would be a good model for that type of fishingÂ
Really depends on the style of fishing you're going to be doing. The 7'2 xh would pair or the 7'8 xhÂ
<table width="1184" class="order-specs-tb" style="background-color:rgb(236,237,239);border-bottom-color:rgb(227,227,227);border-bottom-style:solid;border-bottom-width:1px;border-collapse:collapse;border-left-color:rgb(227,227,227);border-left-style:solid;
These are one piece rods.
Shimano doesn't list a drag rating for the Terez rods. The 6'9" is rated to 200 pounds while the 8 foot is rated to 100 pounds.
The 6'9" heavy or the 6'9" extra heavy(more geared towards bottom fishing.)
You can use these rods for jigging also.
Both 7' 8" models are designed for popping.
Same blank and guides but the 72mblk is a medium power rod while the 72mhblk is a medium heavy rod.
I would say for AJ's I would lean towards a heavy fast action terez or even a xxh. Here is the link to the heavy fast. <a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tzs69hblk-terez-spinning-rod-black.html" target="_blank">https://www.tackledirect.com/shi
